Duets is, admittedly, not a movie I often hear a lot of talk about. Fifteen years old - and showing every ounce of its just-before-9/11 age - Duets follows three pairs of strangers who find themselves unexpectedly flung together as they each try to get to Omaha for a national karaoke competition.
Why didnt people like the movie 'Duets'? It wasn't horrible. Other than it having bad pacing and kind of a shitty ending it wasnt a bad movie. It certainly doesn't diserve a 21% on Rotten Tomatoes or an audience score of 42%. I think it diserves at least a 60%. What are your reasons for not liking this movie? Mabey you did like it. I dont know lol.
Nov 8, 2021 · So what is Duets? Well, as I mentioned, it’s a movie with lots of singing but it’s not quite a musical. There are jokes but there are also attempts at serious social criticism.

I admit it -- I'm a total sucker for this movie for all of the right reasons, and some of the wrong ones (like, it's very touching to me that Bruce Paltrow made this movie with his daughter Gwyneth and died a year or so later).
