It felt fitting, then, that Belt -- the club’s self-proclaimed "Captain" -- was the one to inherit Posey’s old corner locker at Scottsdale Stadium this spring.

He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Francisco Giants and Toronto Blue Jays. Belt played college baseball for San Jacinto College and the University of Texas at Austin.
