Jan 4, 2024 · How to get apps. On your iPhone or iPad, open the App Store app. Browse through the Today, Games, Apps, or Arcade tabs to find apps you like. Or tap the Search tab to look for something specific. If you find a game that says Arcade, subscribe to Apple Arcade to play the game. Tap or click the price or Get button.
In the App Store app , you can discover new apps, featured stories, tips and tricks, and in-app events. Note: You need an internet connection and an Apple ID to use the App Store. The availability of the App Store and Apple Arcade varies by country or region.
- Using App Store Tabs: Open the App Store. It's a blue app with a white "A" made from writing utensils. By default, the App Store is on the Home Screen.
- Downloading an App: Tap the search bar. It's at the top of the screen. Type in an app's name. If you don't know the name of an app you'd like to download, try searching for a keyword like "video" or "paint".
- Updating Your Apps: Tap "Updates". This tab is in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Review your apps that need updating. By default, your apps will update automatically; however, sometimes the App Store won't refresh on time, so opening the Updates tab will force the list to refresh.
- Viewing All Downloaded Apps: Tap "Purchased". It's at the top of the "Updates" page. Tap "All". This should be at the top of the page. It will display a list of every app you've ever downloaded, whether it's currently on your iPhone or not.
