The series premiered on August 10, 2021, with a preview special, Welcome to the New Fantasy Island, which aired two days before. [2] In November 2021, the series was renewed for a second season, and a holiday special aired on December 23, 2021. [3] [4] The second season premiered on January 2, 2023. [5]
A direct sequel to the original 1978 television series, Fantasy Island (1977). It is unrelated to Blumhouse's horror film released a year prior(Fantasy Island (2020)) and the 1998-1999 series reboot (Fantasy Island (1998))
