According to "Wedding Singer" screenwriter Tim Herlihy — Adam Sandler's college roommate turned professional partner for close to 40 years at this point — there wasn't a conscious effort to make the film drastically different than "Billy Madison" or "Happy Gilmore."
    • Boy George loved Alexis Arquette's performance. Adam Sandler wisely surrounds himself with fantastic character actors in his films, and one of the best that he ever worked with was Alexis Arquette.
