Olomouc (UK: / ˈ ɒ l ə m oʊ t s /, US: / ˈ oʊ l oʊ-/, Czech: ⓘ; German: Olmütz) is a city in the Czech Republic. It has about 102,000 inhabitants and its larger urban zone has a population of about 400,000 inhabitants (2024).
Olomouc is a major city in Moravia and the capital of the administrative region of the same name. It is the sixth largest city in Czechia, the most important city in the Haná region of Moravia and it boasts a UNESCO World Heritage Site - the Holy Trinity Column.
