Kelen had been posting on Twitter during pandemic that he thought the next tssf album would be the last, even if just for him. He seemed out of the pop punk phase in general. I think the sacrificial lamb maybe mean with Torf not able to play drums, they had one to many people in the band.

When you think about the bands that came from the same period of time as TSSF and the sheer number of them that have undergone multiple lineup changes due to things like creative differences or abuse allegations, it's pretty remarkable that they've only had a couple to this point (Ambrose and Capener) and have kept their core largely together.
