The Centre Region ( French: région du Centre) occupies 69,000 km 2 of the central plains of the Republic of Cameroon. It is bordered to the north by the Adamawa Region, to the south by the South Region, to the east by the East Region, and to the West by the Littoral and West Regions.

The Centre Region is a region in Cameroon. The capital city is Yaoundé, which is also the national capital. The Sanaga River is the most important river in the region. Other rivers are the Djérem, Lom, and Nyong. The Mfou Reserve protects various bird, monkey, and snake species.
Feb 24, 2021 · Cameroon is a country located in Central Africa in the Northern and Eastern Hemispheres of the Earth. Seven countries border Cameroon. The country is bounded by Nigeria to the north and west. The Central African Republic and Chad borders it to the east and northeast.
Most of these provinces were designated in the 1960s alongside Centre-South Province (split into Centre and South in 1983). At the same time, Adamawa and Far North Provinces were split from North Province. See summary of administrative history in Zeitlyn 2018.
Directly south of them are the Centre (Centre) and East (Est). The South Province (Sud) lies on the Gulf of Guinea and the southern border.
The Centre Region is noteworthy for its humid climate, lush vegetation, folklore and the customs and practices of its inhabitants. It has an undulating landscape, featuring the equatorial forest and large rivers. This region is suitable for excursions, picnics, ecotourism, agro-tourism and exploration.
