Or so I thought, before discovering it was the other way around: Peter Genoway wrote the screenplay based on his own stage play.

Cody Calahan previously directed Antisocial (2013) and Antisocial 2 (2015) along with Let Her Out in 2016. All three have IMDb ratings under 5, while this latest movie is currently (as of writing this) at a comfortable 5.8 which it definitely deserves.
