The Douglas Family Preserve is on the Mesa, a family-friendly neighborhood, and can be accessed via Borton Drive, Mesa School Lane, Medcliff Drive, and at the Oak Grove Trail at the intersection of Las Positas Road and the southern side of Cliff Drive.

The popular entrance on Medcliff Road is at grade level of the park on the scenic mesa. The main route to the park is from U.S. Route 101 south on Las Positas Road, east on Cliff Drive, south on Mesa Lane, and west on Medcliff Road to street parking near the intersection with Selrose Lane.
Entry to the park is from the east at Borton Drive, Mesa School Lane, Medcliff Drive, and at the Oak Grove Trail at the intersection of Las Positas Road and the southern side of Cliff Drive. Dogs must stay on leash while entering the park and until the off-leash areas signs are encountered within the park.
From the preserve, you can walk down to Cliff Street and then to the beach, which includes an off leash section. There was plenty of parking on the local streets. Read more
