Prior to founding The Chernin Group, Peter served as President and COO of News Corp and Chairman and CEO of the Fox Group from 1996-2009. During his tenure at Fox and News Corp, Peter oversaw Fox Filmed Entertainment as the #1 studio and greenlit the two highest grossing films of all time – Titanic and Avatar.
The film, which had been in development at Fox for years, is also meant to kick-start a deal under which Mr. Chernin is expected to make at least two pictures annually for six years at the studio.
