Sep 26, 2020 · If only the execution of this band was as good as the idea of it. Nonetheless it's an interesting, fun and entertaining listen. Wayne Kramer is on point and you get what you get from Johnny Thunders....sometimes sloppy, sometimes brilliant. I only had the Gang War LP that came out in 1990 so it's great to hear these other tracks.

Jun 7, 2018 · Johnny Thunders was constantly shooting up to shake off the breakup of The Heartbreakers, his post-New York Dolls band. A drug dealer introduced Kramer to Thunders, and the two musicians who shaped the guitar sound of the ‘70s started a band together. They called it Gang War. The band could have been great.
