  1. Attempting to make a Roy Harper album have a more "general audiences" appeal is a losing proposition. But they seem to have tried somewhat. The results fail to achieve that aim, but the production of this one has some very interesting sounds all the same. "Same Shoes" is a great Art Rock song that has always stood out for me.

  4. Although i don't think this album will be to everyones taste, i think it's among Roy Harpers best records. This is very much an experimental album and it completely bombs in some places, but Garden of uranium, Pinches of salt, Same shoes and Decendants of smith are all very good songs. Still life is very haunting and Maile lei is beautiful.

Garden of Uranium was originally titled Descendants of Smith when it was first released. Harper chose to change the name when the CD was issued due to a disagreement with his label.

  6. Maile Lei. I gave you my heart 'cause there wasn't an option. You gave me a world when I hadn't a bean. Now all that I need girl is you here forever. Looking for something I've seen. You gave me a dream I thought I'd foresaken. And time is a travel machine. To get me across onto your side of Heaven.

  7. Roy Harper - Garden Of Uranium - Descendants Of Smith on MP3 and FLAC formats."Originally titled 'Descendants of Smith', this record was made at home in Lincolnshire... Regardless of the original slightly silly sleeve idea, what a good record this was."
