John Cleese. John Marwood Cleese ( / ˈkliːz / KLEEZ; born 27 October 1939) is an English actor, comedian, screenwriter, producer, and presenter. Emerging from the Cambridge Footlights in the 1960s, he first achieved success at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and as a scriptwriter and performer on The Frost Report.
Actress Connie Booth's acting career began via high school theater productions, before she relocated to New York City to further pursue acting. Booth would go on to meet actor/writer John Cleese, and the two would marry in 1968 (just before Cleese went on to worldwide fame as one of the main components of the Monty Python comedy troupe).
