Aurelio Faustino Monteagudo Cintra (/ aʊ ˈ r eɪ l i. oʊ m ɒ n t eɪ ˈ ɡ uː d oʊ /; November 19, 1943 – November 10, 1990), nicknamed "Monty", was a right-handed screwball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball. He was the son of former big-leaguer René Monteagudo.

Apr 10, 2018 · Aurelio, sometimes called "Monty" Monteagudo, played 20 seasons in the Venezuela winter league and also many years in the Mexican League. After his playing career, he managed the Danville Suns for part of 1982, the Aciereros de Monclova in 1988, and the Rieleros de Aguascalientes in 1989.
The son of big leaguer Rene Monteagudo, Aurelio made his debut at age 19 with the Kansas City Athletics and spent parts of four seasons with them. He was sold to the Astros in the 1966 season and appeared in ten games for them with no record, one save and a 4.70 ERA before he was sold to the Reds.
