Apr 2, 2013 · 'The Man Who Cried' is a very pretty movie, not deep in plot but visually moving, truly a piece of cinematic eye-candy. The photography and the brilliant acting by Ricci, Depp, Blanchett, and Turturro carry this movie all the way to five stars.

The Man Who Cried is set in 1927 and follows the story of Fegele, a young Jewish girl who is sent overseas by her worried Russian parents to escape the threat of persecution.
