Rosecliff, along with many of the other Newport RI mansions, is now run by the Preservation Society of Newport County. The last owners, Mr. and Mrs. J. Edgar Monroe, of New Orleans, gave the house and a generous endowment in 1971. The mansion is open for tours from May-October, and hosts many interesting events during the summer season.
