Nov 7, 2010 · Strong and delicate. L.A.-based art-rock band Warpaint’s debut album The Fool seems like a series of contradictions, but the group manages to make them all work. Warpaint has existed in many incarnations since its 2004 formation, once featuring actress Shannyn Sossamon of A Knight’s Tale fame on drums (her sister is still a member).

Jun 11, 2021 · Warpaint is an American indie rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2004. The band consists of Emily Kokal (vocals, guitar), Theresa Wayman (vocals, guitar), Jenny Lee Lindberg (bass, vocals), and Stella Mozgawa (drums). To date, the band has released three studio albums: The Fool (2010), Warpaint (2014), and Heads Up (2016).
On the completion of the recording of The Fool, Andrew Weatherall was given access to the album’s master tapes to work on mixes for the finished record. The track Baby, along with Warpaint’s iconic single Undertow, were both mixed by the Guv’nor and appeared on the finished album that was released in 2010. The Fool.

Sep 4, 2010 · Unfortunately "The Fool" wasn't released until the end of October, so this worthy album wasn't included on the notable 2010 music lists of many cultural opinion makers. "The Fool" did make the Top 10 Albums of 2010 at my own humble music blog at the Music Banter forum. NPR also gave "The Fool" an honorable mention on it's year end summary.
