Hilariously funny! Movie with Cary Grant as lead. Cary played lead,before- in "Arsenic & Old Lace" for a long run on Broadway. One must have a sense of humor, & a touch for ridiculous humor helps. Cary plays a man who finds himself in quite strange situations, at home, when he is trying to get married & go on his honeymoon to Niagara Falls.
Though the movie rights for Arsenic and Old Lace were set up so that the film could not be released until 1944, director Capra shot the film quickly and inexpensively in 1941, so that his family could subsist on his $100,000 salary while he was serving in World War II.
