First studies is followed by regency, where Jesuits spend two to three years working full time at a Jesuit apostolic work. Regency is followed by theology studies, where Jesuits spend three more years taking graduate coursework. The scholastics are ordained after 10 years, and brothers generally move to full-time ministry as well at that point too.
