The Guaranty Building has the most highly ornamented exterior of any structure by Adler and Sullivan. The entire twelve-story building is clad in terracotta, which is intricately embellished with leafy designs and oval- and diamond-shaped motifs. The interior is just as highly ornamented.
The Guaranty/Prudential Building is surely worth a visit while in Buffalo. There are limited touring days due to the fact that the building is a working office complex but even on off days the security guard at the front desk is helpful. We were free to wander in the lobby and the small exhibit that they have set up in a board room.
