The ship launched at the turn of the 20th century and was almost twice the size of the Judge Ben Wiles, the lake’s present-day cruise ship. Nearly 600 people could pack onto the double-decker ship.
We took the scenic cruise on Skaneateles Lake on the Judge Ben Wiles and it was a lovely tour of the lake. The captain provided some interesting history and information about the lake and the beautiful homes on it. It was just about 45 minutes, the boat was clean and looked to be freshly painted and all of the attendants were friendly and helpful.

Jul 15, 2018 · Skaneateles Judge Ben Wiles Tour. We have been on this 50 minute tour several times as we always bring first time visitors here. It is a wonderful quick boat tour that gives you a bit of history of the area and lake. The captain is witty and makes the tour enjoyable with tidbits about the owners of some of the homes.

May 23, 2019 · For many years I have taken many visitors to our farm on a dinner cruise on beautiful Skaneateles Lake aboard the Judge Ben. It has always been memorable for me as well as my guests. Prime Rib dinner is wonderful and my fav. They also have a Mail Boat cruise that is 4 + hours , BYO lunch, and delivers mail to the camps along the lake.
