ELLINGTON — Ellington voters rejected a rather significant tax increase Tuesday, opting not to pass a proposed $71.6 million budget for next year. Unofficial vote totals, according to Board of Finance members who met immediately after the referendum, indicate the budget failed by a margin of 1,060 to 430.
