West L.A. is not a realistic walking distance to the Chinese Theatre. There’s a Lowes hotel at the Hollywood & Highland complex and some hotels to the north on Highland; as well there’s the Hollywood Roosevelt (site of the very first Academy Awards) across the street from the Chinese.
TCL Chinese Theatre is located at 6925 Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles. The area is well served by public transportation. The nearest subway stop is Hollywood/Highland served by the Red Line. The movie theater is less than a two-minute walk from the stop and you will definitely have no trouble finding it!
