Reaper does indeed come with a stock synthesizer called ReaSynth: here is an example of someone playing around with that. Because it gives you the raw tools, you can accomplish some decent synth pad sounds with it. There is a built in sampler (ReaSamplOmatic5000) along with a couple of synth options.
Mar 8, 2011 · Make a short sine sound in reaSynth (similar to a kick sound). Go to the pin connector, add two new outputs and choose them (3 and 4) as reaSynth output. Next thing is to go to the ReaGate, choose detector input auxiliary and change the threshold until the noise gets chopped the right way.
