He is best known as the co-lead vocalist, guitar and keyboard/synthesizer player for the long-running band Blue Öyster Cult, with work on more than 20 albums. This song is blatantly about suicide. It talks about Romeo and Juliet comitting suicide and then says "We can be like they are". "Don't fear the reaper." In the end, the woman take's the reaper's hand and "she began to fly" and "she had no fear" and "she became like they (R&J) are." This is completely about suicide.
