The Point Hueneme Lighthouse is owned by the U.S. Coast Guard and was constructed in 1941. The lighthouse is open for tours the third Saturday of the month from February through October from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (last tour is at 2:30 p.m.). Admission is free. The City of Port Hueneme and the Port of Hueneme are partnering together to host a “Run/Walk for your Heart 5K” event which is set to occur on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Hueneme Beach. Participation in the 5K is $10 a runner which will include a t-shirt and medal. Registration to participate is now full but the waitlist is open.
