May 1, 2024 · Taming The Tiger features a self-portrait (The Lion Tamer) with Joni holding her cat Nietzsche. The painting is done in a post-impressionist style and is one of my favorites (though not as interesting as her photo/paint composite for The Hissing of Summer Lawns).
