It is a nice, paved trail, that runs along an old train track path and will connect San Bernardino to Claremont. The path, for the most part, is fairly well lit and travelled by bicyclists, skaters, and pedestrians. Walking Much of Fontana is still spread out over several miles.

Feb 17, 2024 · Fontana Dam. At 480 feet (~146 meters), Fontana Dam is the tallest concrete dam east of the Rocky Mountains. The dam impounds the Little Tennessee River forming Fontana Lake and produces hydroelectric power. The reservoir is approximately 11,700 acres and there is a shoreline of about 240 miles (~386 kilometers).
