Ernest the Chicken is a free-to-play quest where players must discover what happened to the missing Ernest, who went into Draynor Manor to ask for directions and never returned. It was one of the first quests developed and the first quest released after RuneScape's initial launch.
Walkthrough. Talk to Veronica. ( 1) Enter the manor. Pick up poison from the room south of the kitchen, on the west side of the ground floor[UK] . Pick up the fish food on the 1st floor[UK] , in the room south of the stairs containing the ghost. Use the fish food on the poison to make poisoned fish food.

May 31, 2017 · Go to the top of the house and you will find Professor Oddenstein. Talk to him and ask about Ernest. He will tell you that he has changed Ernest into a chicken. He will also tell you that his machine is broken, but if you fix it, he can change Ernest back to a man.
Exit through the southeast corner of the manor (or teleport to the Draynor lodestone) and walk to the fountain in the southwest corner of the yard. Use the poisoned fish food on the fountain. Search the fountain for the pressure gauge.
