Steve Speirs is a British marathon and ultra runner living in Virginia Beach on the east coast of the USA. Speirs started running as a teenager in the early 80's, initially as a way of keeping fit for High School sports. In 1982 his rugby coach persuaded him to enter his first road race – the Barry Half Marathon in Wales.
