Kander and Ebb, American songwriting duo made up of John Kander and Fred Ebb, who collaborated for more than 40 years—from the mid-1960s to the early 2000s—to produce scores for many successful musicals and films, including Cabaret and Chicago. He began his Broadway career as rehearsal pianist for GYPSY, for which he also did the dance arrangements.
