A 1979 adaptation of Bram Stoker's novel Dracula by director Werner Herzog, Nosferatu the Vampyre, starred Klaus Kinski (as Count Dracula, not Count Orlok). The only connection between the films is the title. A remake by director David Lee Fisher was in development after being successfully funded on Kickstarter on 3 December 2014.
