The crash was the subject of a 2006 movie, We Are Marshall, which told the story of the accident and the recovery of the university’s football program. In 2023, the university and the Marshall 75 Family Alumni Chapter established the 75 Legacy Scholarship Fund, providing descendants of the crash victims with full scholarships to Marshall.
