Funny you mentioned Fargo. Did you know Raimi and the Coen Brothers go a long way back. Joel Coen helped edited the 1st Evil Dead film and Raimi inspired Blood Simple. When it came time to shoot "A Simple Plan", Raimi actually contacted the brothers for advice on how to shoot with snow environment given their experience with Fargo.
