The urine and saltwater were not actually drank but used for condensation which formed on the plastic then dripped into a drinking vessel.
Les Stroud from Survivorman is the real badass! He actually goes out and survives. Compare his show to man vs wild, one is real and other is fake and it's so obvious. If Bear Grylls is okay with making a survivor show that is fake and his advice could literally kill people, it doesn't surprise me at all that he would take money to support an MLM

Realistically he has no plans of risking death (although it is risky to do what he does now) when he has kids and a life outside of Tv. The difference between Les and Bear Grylls is that Les is demonstrating how to survive. Bear is creating exciting tv with the support of a crew who helps keep from safe.
