Fabulous 5-Star restaurant! We dined on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm and started out with the La Rosa Mojito. Our appetizers were Pulpo a la Parrilla (Grilled Octopus) and Masitas de Puerco (Fried Pork Chunks). We then selected their Sunday special ~ Cordero Al Vino (Lamb Shank in Wine Sauce) ~ this was sooooo delicious!
May 11, 2023 · Brother Osvaldo and and wife Mercedes Mayoral were the face of the bakery for most of the five decades. They remained in charge of La Rosa Bakery until 2019, when they were 92 and 86 years old. “My uncle worked there as a baker in the 1970s,” América Blanca wrote at the bottom of the bakery’s farewell post on Facebook.

After emigrating from Cuba to Miami in the 1960s, the Mayoral brothers — Osvaldo, Osmar, Oliverio, Otelmy and Orfilio — undertook the bakery and followed the recipe of their grandfather, Rogelio Mayoral.
May 31, 2024 · La Rosa has been here for several decades, and has always aspired to represent the more formal side of Cuban cuisine. From Croquetas de Rabo (Oxtail) to Masitas de Puerco (Pork Chunks), Cordero al Vino (Lamb), and Branzino (Fish), etc. they have lots of good choices for any palate type.
