Mar 2, 2022 · Alan Gavin Ladd Jr. (October 22, 1937 - March 2, 2022) was an American film industry executive and producer. He was the son of actor Alan Ladd and Ladd's first wife Marjorie Jane (née Harrold), whom Ladd had met in high school.
Ladd was married twice, first to Marjorie Jane Harrold from 1936 to 1942, and then to Sue Carol from 1942 until his death in 1964. He had two children with Harrold and two with Carol. Ladd died of an accidental overdose of alcohol and drugs on January 29, 1964 in Palm Springs, California. He was 50 years old.
