I have a relative who works for Canada Post, and he explained exactly what my carrier was doing. It annoyed him, as well, because he actually does his job and delivers to each door. The fact that this woman is paid to deliver to doors and instead sits in her vehicle is ridiculous.

Not sure how postal overtime rules work with the Canada Post, but for the USPS, all employees automatically get "time-and-a-half" (1.5x) pay after 8 hours (until you reach the 10th hour). Anything past 10 hours is considered "double time" (2x) aka "penalty overtime" (up to the 12th hour) which management wants to avoid at all costs.
