Professor Ruiz exemplifies the type of professor I had always wanted. Passionate, an avid scholar and a great storyteller. His approach and enthusiasm kept me desiring more. I had read several unflattering reviews concerning his accent, but honestly, he speaks very eloquently and articulates his ideas clearly.
This was a great class overall! Professor Ruiz makes class engaging and makes coming to class very worthwhile. Most of the class is group work, so be aware of that. Sometimes he's not very clear about grading criteria, but he is a pretty lenient grader. He also periodically checks in with the class for things he can do better, which I can respect.
