But he got the recognition as an actor only with his second movie “Jayam” in which he played a negative role starring Nithin and Sadaf in the lead roles, directed by Teja.
Gopichand made his heroic debut with the movie Tholi Valapu. His next films Jayam, Nijam and Varsham played negative roles. He took up his role in the Tamil-language remake of the same title of the film after the good reaction to his success in Jayam.
