Bloodthirst is great for lvling (especially when using dual wield - you have lot of rage to use), because it means extra damage + healing (= saving time from eating). Normally i used to kill 3-5 mobs (like not at once) on my lvl without eating. But i find it useless for pvp - healing effect isnt high enough to keep you alive even second longer.
