Feb 15, 2022 · Joey Mercury was a part of WWE for two spells with the first beginning in 2004 where he joined up with Johnny Nitro and Melina to form the popular MNM trio. Together he and Nitro captured the WWE Tag Team Championship on three separate occasions.
In 2004, Birch signed with WWE and was assigned to their developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) in Louisville, Kentucky under the name Joey Mercury. While situated at OVW, he was placed in tag team competition, alongside Johnny Nitro, in which they won the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship on one occasion.
