The earliest Dracula film still known to exist, F.W. Murnau's loose, unauthorized, silent-film adaptation of Stoker's novel introduced shadows to the Count, made sunlight an existential threat to him and began the oft-reused incident of him being fascinated by an image of the Mina/Lucy-type character - none of which Stoker wrote.
