Oct 4, 2020 · Location. The São Paulo East Brazil Temple is currently in the planning stages. Its location was announced by the Church on October 31, 2022. The planned two-story building of approximately 46,050 square feet will be built on a 10.7-acre site located at Av. Guilherme Giorgi, 1091, Vila Carrão in São Paulo, on the east side of the city.
On April 3, 2022, President Russell M. Nelson announced plans to construct the Santos Brazil Temple at the April 2022 General Conference. Santos is a southeastern port city in the state of São Paulo. There are 1.5 million Latter-day Saints in Brazil in more than 2,100 congregations. The temple in Santos will be the 16th temple for Brazil.
