Sep 29, 2020 · DF: I definitely did not “shop” any “Halloween” scripts to the studio. The rights to “Halloween” were owned by the late Moustapha Akkad. He financed the original film and then bought out the sequel rights after “Halloween III” and went on to produce and distribute “4” and “5” through his own company, Galaxy International.
Yeah, I love how the original first draft had Jamie go out with more of a heroic BANG if I remember right with her being seemingly fatally wounded and blowing up the cult. Daniel Farrands originally intended for 7 to feature Jamie having survived and would meet up with her mother who helped Kara, Tommy, Danny, and baby Steven escape.
