Mar 24, 2020 · Two things stand out when you read the blessing with the curse. One, the blessing of future fertility suggests that the curse is barrenness, not miscarriage—and certainly not abortion. Children were a blessing from the Lord, and barrenness was a curse, so the contrast between the curse in verse 27 and the promise in verse 28 makes perfect sense.
We want to know where we can find the answer to church teachings, in the book that is you know, “the Word of God.”. But this can be seemingly difficult, because some words that we use today aren’t in the Bible. For example, the word abortion, isn’t actually found in Scripture. Some might assume that this is contradictory.
