  7. Feb 10, 2007 · The Brahms one is very fine, but must contend with Bohm's great Brahms symphonies # I and 2 with the BPO from 1957-8. That Brahms #1 is quicker, more powerful and exciting than this BRSO version-noticably but not by a great margin. The BPO was at its interpretive peak for Bohm,and its sound was also superlative-the best Brahms #1 that I have heard.
