It does not serve any purpose anymore for me at least when it comes to social media, Instagram is better for that. I think that the time has come with it and it'll slowly go down. The whole site is also one big mess, it has grown too complicated and become almost like malware.

It certainly isn't Trillian or any of the other chat services out there. Why isn't anyone using it anymore? There are two things to blame: Facebook and cell phones.

Also, Myspace deleted 12 years’ (2003 and 2015) worth of user data accidentally in a mishap while migrating from one server to another at the beginning of 2019.
