Certainly many viewers will bemoan a certain lack of romance in this approach, but for the adventurous, Byzantium is a lovely thing of dark poetry.
Upon the windswept shores of a desolate coastal town stands the Byzantium guesthouse. After years of being abandoned, its doors are about to be opened again by the predatory and seductive Clara (Gemma Arterton), who plans on turning the hotel into a bordello, and her young and introverted daughter, Eleanor (Saoirse Ronan).
